The Honda CB300R will be launched in India on 8 February, Honda has confirmed. The company has commenced pre-bookings for the CB300R at an amount of INR 5,000.
In a surprise move, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) announced on 16 January that the CB300R neo sports café will be launched in India below INR 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be imported into the country as a CKD pack. The Honda CB300R will be retailed via Honda’s Super Bike dealer network.
The Honda CB300R neo café will be available in two colour options - Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Axis Gray Metallic. The design of the CBR300R is inspired by the flagship Honda CB1000R and the middle-weight Honda CB650R.
The motorcycle features LED headlight that is flanked by a fully digital instrument console as well as LED indicators and taillight
The motorcycle uses a pressed steel tubular frame, while suspension components include 41 mm upside-down forks up front and a seven-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear.
Braking performance is aided by disc brakes with radially mounted callipers. A dual-channel ABS unit with G-Sensor is standard fitment. An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) controls the front to rear, distribution of ABS operation.
Powering the Honda CB300R neo sports cafe is a 286cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, single cylinder fuel-injected motor that develops 30.9 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and 27.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Honda claims a fuel economy of 30.2 km/l and a riding range of over 300 km from its 10-litre fuel tank. The Honda CB300R neo sports café will rival the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R and the upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
