2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R launched in India at INR 10.49 lakh

India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R at an introductory price of INR 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Pre-bookings for the new model commenced in October 2018, and the customers who booked the motorcycle will start getting deliveries from February 2019 onwards.

Speaking on the launch of the 2019 Kawasaki ZX-6R, Mr Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd said:

We are happy to introduce Ninja ZX-6R, which has done remarkably well in WorldSSP racing competitions. It not only had good number of pole positions, but also won the championship twice in last four years. While the Ninja ZX-6R is performing well in various international racing competitions, we are sure our customers in India will enjoy riding this supersport bike. After pre-booking announcement, we have received overwhelming response with excellent number of bookings. We are confident and positive about the performance of our Ninja ZX-6R in the Indian market.

Inspired by the Kawasaki ZX-10R, the 2019 Kawasaki ZX-6R features a twin LED headlights setup, a semi-digital instrument console, and a sporty tail section. The features list of the new model comprises KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System), KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter), and KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control). The new model features 6-spoke lightweight mag wheels that are shod with sticky Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 soft-compound tyres.

The 2019 Kawasaki ZX-6R is powered by a 636 cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The motor outputs a maximum power of 130 PS at 13,500 rpm and a peak torque of 70.8 Nm at 11,000 rpm.
