The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155 competes with the Yamaha FZ series, the TVS Apache RTR160 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar range among others. A bunch of accessories such as tank stickers, USB charger and knuckle guard for the facelifted model are available at dealerships now.

The new Gixxer 155 is available in three colour options - Black, Grey and Blue. In terms of styling, the facelifted model features a new, LED headlight for a refreshed and modern look. The cockpit has a new instrument console shared with its fully-faired sibling, the 2019 Gixxer SF. The tails section also gets a new LED stoplight that matches the fully-faired motorcycle.

Engine specifications, too, are identical to the Gixxer SF. There's a 155 cc SOHC, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor that produces 14.1 PS of peak power and 14 Nm of maximum torque. The power mill is paired with a five-speed gearbox. Braking department comprises single discs on both ends, and the setup is governed by a single-channel ABS. Shock absorption hardware matches rivals. The 155 cc model still uses conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back.

While the 155 cc variant has started to roll out from the showrooms, Suzuki Motorcycle India is yet to make a launch announcement about the new quarter-litre variant. The new Gixxer 250 should arrive in the dealerships ahead of the festive season to make most of the increased buying pattern during the period. The Gixxer 250 will share its hardware with the Gixxer SF 250, although the former will come with city-friendly ergonomics.
