Hyundai had started taking pre-orders for the 2019 Santro on 10 October, 2018. The price announcement and launch took place on the 23rd of the same month. Demand may rise aggressively this month due to Diwali, creating an even bigger pile of unfulfilled orders for the company. It plans to produce no more than 10,000 units a month. So, customers can expect a waiting period of one or two months until a little after the initial hype and seasonal peak settles down.

Beginning early next year, Hyundai will start shipping the all-new Santro to overseas markets. Specifically, Puneet Anand, Sr. General Manager (Marketing), Hyundai Motor India, had told IAB last month that the international shipments commence after February (presumably in March). South Africa is among the first markets, where the company will sell it as the all-new Hyundai Atos. Countries in Latin America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia are under consideration for exports.

The 2019 Hyundai Santro is available in nine different configurations. There are five equipment lines (D-Lite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta) and three powertrain combinations (petrol-MT, petrol-AMT and petrol-CNG-MT) to choose from. The prices start at INR 3,89,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) and go up to INR 5,64,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). Maruti Celerio and Tata Tiago are this model's close rivals.
