According to a report from GaadiWaadi, Bajaj Auto is likely to launch the Platina 110 in India next week. The Bajaj Platina 110 could lead the company’s offensive in the 110 cc segment.
On 1 November, we reported about Bajaj Auto planning an update for the Platina to uplift its sales. The company has seen more growth in the volumes of Platina, as compared to the increase in the CT 100 sales. In August, a test mule of the Bajaj Platina 125 was spied testing in India. However, Bajaj Auto denied the possibility of launching the Platina 125 in India, as it will dilute the brand in the country.
As far as the Platina 110 is concerned, it could feature a front disc brake and new graphics. The Bajaj Platina 110 could source power from the 115.45 cc engine of the Bajaj Discover 110. In the latter, the 4-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder motor produces 8.6 PS at 7,000 rpm and 9.81 Nm at 5,000 rpm. A 4-speed transmission works in tandem with the engine.
The Bajaj Platina 110 is unlikely to have a design any different from the Bajaj Platina 100. It will also feature LED DRL, ‘SnS’ rear suspension and 17-inch alloy wheels. It will compete with the Hero Passion Pro 110, Hero Splendor iSmart+, TVS Radeon, and Honda CD110 Dream among others.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Bajaj Platina 110 could be priced at around INR 50,000-52,000 (ex-showroom). As a reference, The Platina Comfortec (100 cc) costs INR 47,405 (ex-showroom Delhi). The 100 cc version has averaged sales of nearly 48,000 units for the past six months.
