The Royal Enfield Concept KX Bobber is a design study that takes inspiration from the Royal Enfield Model KX, which was first introduced in 1936.

The Royal Enfield Concept KX Bobber is a design study that was developed in 6 months. It takes inspiration from the Royal Enfield Model KX, a 1,140cc, v-twin bobber, which was first introduced in 1936. The concept envisages a future Royal Enfield motorcycle that could be powered by the new 838cc, V-twin engine.

The project hasn't been greenlit for production by Royal Enfield. However, even if the company plans to launch the bike, it won't come any time before 2020. The Royal Enfield Concept KX Bobber is powered by an all-new 838 cc, V-twin engine that has been developed in the UK in collaboration with Polaris Industries, which is also the parent company of Indian Motorcycles. Eicher Motors (Royal Enfield's parent company) had a JV with Polaris.

While Royal Enfield has not revealed the engine specifications, the liquid-cooled, fuel injected motor is expected to produce a maximum power of 90 hp. The motor has a bore of 80 mm and a stroke of 83.4 mm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and ride-by-wire throttle system for linear power delivery.

Dimensionally, the Royal Enfield Concept KX Bobber is 2,160 mm long, 778 mm wide and 998 mm high. It has a wheelbase of 1,530 mm and a ground clearance of 128 mm while the saddle height is 760 mm. The bobber sports 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in 3.50/19 tyres (front) 4.00/19 tyres (rear).

The Royal Enfield Concept KX Bobber uses a Harris Performance-developed chassis with an integrated air box. The frame uses the v-twin motor as a stressed member. Design highlight includes a girder fork at the front with a single damper and an under-seat link-type mono-shock at the back.
