With average monthly sales of 18,368 units (May - October 2018), the Maruti Baleno has been the best-selling B2-segment hatchback. In spite of the high popularity, we haven't seen many customised examples. The modified Maruti Baleno on this page, however, looks nothing like the stock version.
Done up by 360 Motoring, the special Maruti Baleno sports a bright red paint scheme along with custom-made scissor doors. This arrangement was first seen on the Alfa Romeo Carabo and was later made famous by the highly revered Lamborghini Countach.
The front-end of the modified Baleno features a rectangular grille with a black wire mesh. The bumper is new, too, and carries multiple LED fixtures along with a sporty diffuser.
The highlights of the side profile include a set of 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels shod with low-profile tires, side skirts, black ORVMs, and a black finish on the window frame. The lowered ride height has resulted into a sportier stance, while all the chrome bits have been removed for a cleaner look. At the rear, the stock tail lamps have made way for LED units. The new rear bumper looks far sportier than the original version and features a centrally-positioned muffler-cutter along with a big diffuser.
Details of the interior aren't available at the moment, but one can safely expect an updated seat upholstery and colour-coordinated trim. In spite of the sporty treatment given to the exterior, no changes have been made to the powertrain. The modified Maruti Baleno by 360 Motoring is powered by the same 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine that powers the regular version. It outputs a maximum power of 82 bhp along with a peak torque of 114 Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard.

Last month, it emerged that Maruti Suzuki could launch an updated version of the Baleno by June 2018. The purported facelift is likely to feature updated bumpers, a revised grille and a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels. The facelift should help the small car continue enjoying an edge over the Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz.
