The Royal Enfield Himalayan has received a complete visual overhaul and the final product, christened Project SG411, is nothing short of a machine that has come straight out from a big-budget Hollywood Sci-Fi. Indonesia based custom house, Smoked Garage is responsible for creating this modification, and it is one of the most extreme makeovers that we have seen on the Himalayan.

Artists at Smoked Garage have stripped all the stock parts of the adventure tourer and replaced them with custom-built units. The front, for example, gets a full LED headlight that looks almost alien. The three-stripe illuminators are placed inside a mask with carbon-fibre texture. The tail lamp, too, features the three-stripe design with “Smoked Garage” logos on the sides. The headlight mask gets contrasting red graphics over the carbon-fibre texture that makes it look more appealing.
Behind the headlight is a fully digital cockpit that replaces the semi-digital instrument console. The stock handlebar has been traded for a Pro Taper Carmichael unit that comes in black paint. The front blinkers have been integrated into the bar ends.
The fuel tank gets the carbon-fibre textured panel on the top that surrounds the filler cap. A dual-tone theme from the headlamp has been carried on the section above the fuel tank. The cavity in the upper body reveals the repositioned rear shock absorber that has been placed right behind the fuel tank. Inverted telescopic forks provide suspension duties at the front. The front forks get covers to protect them against various elements that may damage the oil seal while off-roading. The fork covers get Royal Enfield branding and carbon-fibre texture.
The sub-frame and the swingarm have received massive revisions to accommodate the new styling and repositioned rear monoshock. The entire upper body is a single panel that runs through the length of the machine. More carbon-fibre textured units with red highlights are visible on the sides. The underbelly, too, gets the same texture. The stock, split seat has been traded for a rider-only saddle. At the back, the rear fender has been eliminated for a minimal and clean look.
Aftermarket wheels, which are wrapped in dual-purpose tyres, have replaced stock, wire-spoke units. A custom silencer, with Smoked Garage branding, replaces the factory-installed outlet.
Is it a concept? Most definitely not. The video posted by Smoked Garage displays the Himalayan SG411 in action on and off the tarmac. Is all that carbon-fibre genuine? No claims have been made on the Instagram handle, but it does look like the real deal.

Changes to the mechanical specifications have not been revealed. For reference, the standard Royal Enfield Himalayan uses a 411 cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel injected engine that is tuned to deliver 24.5 bhp of maximum power at 6500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
