Wannabe Harley Davidson V-Rod is a Bajaj Avenger 220 underneath [Video]

Ajinkya Lad

Ajinkya Lad, A motorcyclist at heart, I love going on long rides; especially the Himalayas.

We have seen many motorcycle modifications, some tastefully done while other outright wacky. Today we have a creation that is between the two poles.

This wannabe Harley Davidson V-Rod is actually a Bajaj Avenger 220 underneath. While the overall conceptualisation and design are quite decent, the modification lacks execution. We would still give it to the bike builder for getting right the overall Harley Davidson V-Rod silhouette. While there are hardly any details available about the modifications, the motorcycle seems to feature a custom frame.

The front forks are all-new, while the rear features a mono-shock. The bike builder has used a 240 mm rear tyre, and a 150 mm front tyre, both are from Pirelli. The swingarm is custom-made, and so is the bodywork. Speaking of which, the motorcycle features a large fuel tank, and engine belly cover, a single seat with an integrated taillight, and short fenders.

The customizer has used quad exhausts, of which, only two are functional. The bike also features a v-twin engine casing to mimic the layout of the Harley Davidson V-Rod motor. The motorcycle features a round headlamp with HID lights and a wide handlebar. The tyres are wrapped on custom blade-style alloy wheels.

The custom Bajaj Avenger 220 features a metallic grey paint scheme with red graphics. The alloy wheels are painted red as well. While there’s no mention of the performance figures, the stock Bajaj Avenger is powered by a 220cc, single-cylinder engine. The 2-valve, oil-cooled motor is capable of producing 19.03 PS at 8,400 rpm and a peak torque of 17.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
