TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS Jupiter Grande top-spec variant in India. The drum brake version costs INR 55,936*, while the disc brake model is priced at INR 59,648*.
Highlights of the TVS Jupiter Grande variant include LED headlight and a semi-digital instrument console, diamond-cut alloy wheels (disc brake version-only), quilted maroon-coloured seat cover and new Starlight Blue paint scheme with beige panels and a body coloured pillion grab rail. The scooter features chrome embellishments on the front fender, rear view mirrors and the exhaust shield as well.
Commenting on the launch of the Jupiter Grande, Mr Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President (Marketing) - Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand, TVS Motor Company, said, -
“The TVS Jupiter Grande is the latest in the series of annual special editions that TVS Jupiter brings for its customers. It gets grand features like LED tech headlamp, adjustable shocks, digital-analogue speedometer, diamond-cut alloy wheels and the striking Starlight Blue colour.”
Mechanically, the TVS Jupiter Grande remains identical to the standard model. The 109.7 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, OHC motor is capable of developing 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 8 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It is mated to a CVT. An adjustable rear monoshock is exclusive to the disc-brake variant, while telescopic front forks are standard.

Braking power comes from standard drum brakes at both the ends, while a front disc is available as an option. The scooter comes equipped with Sync Brake System as standard. An under-seat USB charging port is available as an optional accessory.
The TVS Jupiter competes with the likes of the Honda Activa 5G, Hero Duet and the Yamaha Fascino.
