Kinetic MotoRoyale launches SWM Superdual T, FB Mondial HPS 300, Norton, MV Agusta & Hyosung bikes in India [Update]

Kinetic Group owned MotoRoyale has launched seven new motorcycles in India, while also announcing three new partnerships, with SWM Motorcycles, FB Mondial and Hyosung. The new launches include SWM Superdual T, FB Mondial HPS 300, Limited Edition Norton Dominator & Norton Commando, Hyosung Aquila Pro, Hyosung GT250R, and the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR.

Of these, the Aquila Pro and the GT650R have been reintroduced in India, by MotoRoyale as part of its new partnership with Kinetic Group. The new announcement comes after Hyosung terminated its association with DSK MotoWheels after DSK faced financial irregularities.

1. SWM Superdual T

The SWM Superdual T adventure tourer is available in India in two models: Superdual T Base and Superdual T, priced at INR 6,80,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and INR 7,30,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. It competes with the likes of the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, Kawasaki Versys 650 and the upcoming Benelli TRK 502. The motorcycle has 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels paired with dual-purpose tyres.

Powering the SWM Superdual T is a 600 cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled, Euro 4 engine with fuel injection that is tuned to produce 53.64 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm along with 53.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features USD forks up front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear.

Braking power comes from 300 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes with Brembo callipers. Switchable dual-channel ABS is standard. The SWM Superdual T has a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres and a ground clearance of 180 mm.

2. FB Mondial HPS 300

Another bike to be launched today is the FB Mondial HPS 300, which has been priced at INR 3,37,000 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). At this price point, the HPS 300 rivals the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R. The HPS 300 is a neo-retro roadster with a design that is a combination of a cafe racer and a scrambler.

FB Mondial is an Italian company, which will be marketed in India and other Asian markets exclusively by Kinetic Group-owned MotoRoyale. The FB Mondial HPS 300 employs a Piaggio-sourced 249 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with fuel injection. This engine churns out 25 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 22 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. It mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The FB Mondial HPS 300 features inverted front forks and an adjustable rear mono-shock. Anchorage comes from petal disc brakes at both the ends with standard ABS. The motorcycle features 18- and 17-inch wire-spoke wheels at the front and back, respectively.

3. Norton Dominator

Motoroyale announced its partnership with Norton Motorcycles in November 2017, and subsequently, launched its first product in the country - the Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer. The company has now launched the Norton Dominator, priced at INR 23,70,000 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).

The Norton Dominator sources power from a 961 cc, air/oil cooled, parallel twin engine that is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The fuel-injected motor generates 80 PS of maximum power at 6,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 90 Nm at 5,200 rpm gearbox. The Dominator features retro styling with minimal body panels.

The Norton Dominator comes shod with wire-spoke wheels on both the ends to complement the modern-retro design. Suspension duty is handled by 43 mm Ohlins upside down front forks and an Ohlins mono-shock at the back with remote reservoir, which is adjustable for preload, compression and the ride height. Anchorage is provided by twin 320 mm discs at the front with Brembo 4-piston ‘Monobloc’ radial callipers, and a single 220m disc at the back with a 2-piston calliper. ABS is offered as standard.

4. Norton Commando Limited Edition

Kinetic MotoRoyale has also launched the limited-edition Norton Commando café racer, priced at INR 20,99,000 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) alongside the Dominator. The styling is on the similar lines as that of the Norton Dominator with a circular headlight, tear-drop fuel tank and a single seat with a café racer-style seat cowl.

The Norton Commando employs a 961 cc, parallel-twin, air/oil cooled, fuel-injected motor that produces 80 PS of power at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 90 Nm at 5,200 rpm. This engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

5. Hyosung Aquila Pro

The Hyosung Aquila Pro has been reintroduced in the domestic market, by Kinetic Motoroyale, for a price of INR 5,55,213 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Hyosung Aquila Pro uses a 647 cc, V-twin, DOHC water-cooled mill that pumps out 74 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 62.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission, which transfers control to the wheel via a final belt drive. Stopping power is provided by twin rotors at the front and a single disc at the rear, with standard dual-channel ABS.

The Hyosung Aquila Pro competes with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Kawasaki Vulcan S and the Harley Davidson Street 750. The cruiser receives upside down forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle has a 16-litre fuel tank capacity, and it tips the scales at 240 kg (kerb weight).

6. Hyosung GT250R

The Hyosung GT250R is the second motorcycle from the Korean bike maker that has been launched today at a price of INR 3,38,600 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Hyosung has a customer base of 7000 buyers in India, and it plans to make the brand more accessible to enthusiasts.

The Hyosung GT250R is powered by a 250 cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection that develops 28 bhp of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 22.07 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox works in harmony with the engine. Braking power is provided by disc brakes at both the ends with standard ABS.

7. MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR

The highlight of the event has been the introduction of the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR, which has been launched at a price tag of INR 18,99,000 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Brutale 800 RR is arguably the most beautiful naked streetfighter from the Italian marquee.

The MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR sources power from a 798 cc, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that churns out 140 bhp of power and 87 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed slipper clutch-assisted gearbox transfers control to the wheel. The Brutale 800 RR comes with electronic wizardries like a full ride-by-wire system, 8-level traction control, Bosch ABS with RLM (Rear Wheel Lift Up Mitigation) and Brembo brakes. The motorcycle comes with four riding modes – Normal, Sport, Rain and Custom. It has a dry weight of 175 kg.
