Folks at Autologue Design are busy preparing the Xplorer bodykit for the KTM 390 Duke. The new bodykit is aimed to offer better touring capabilities to the naked roadster. The Xplorer bodykits are still in design phase, and we’ve got the first glimpse of the product through digital renders.

The X-Plorer kit from Autologue Design will convert the naked roadster into a sports tourer. The kit will add a semi-fairing design and a tall windscreen to the KTM Duke range, offering better protection from windblasts.

The bodykit, as seen in the digital renders, benefits from a semi-fairing design and a tall windscreen that is aimed to offer better aerodynamics to the motorcycle. The tall windshield and the semi-fairing design, paired to the motorcycle’s powerful engine and the 17-inch wheels at both ends will transform the KTM 390 Duke from being naked roadsters to a sports tourer.

Of course, the 390 Adventure is merely a few months away from arriving in India, and the motorcycle will use a 19-inch front wheel to maintain a balance between on- and off-road riding. Meanwhile, retaining the 17-inch wheel combination will help the 390 Duke retain its handling prowess that will be appreciated by the riders who seldom take the beaten path.

The new semi-fairing will also fit the 250 Duke too, as the motorcycle shares its design with the 390 Duke. Moreover, Autologue Design will also offer a similar kit for the 200 Duke that should also fit the previous generation 390 Duke.

The changes will be limited to visuals, and the 390 Duke will continue to draw 43.5 PS of power @ 9,500 RPM and 35 Nm of peak torque @ 7,250 RPM from its 373 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4 valve engine. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The motorcycle will gain some weight due to the added fairing, but it’s not likely to be significantly higher from the stock 390 Duke’s 154.2 kg.

Apart from the addition of new, semi-fairing design, the 390 Duke will continue to use the standard hardware which includes trellis frame, all-LED headlamp, multifunction TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, upside down telescopic front suspension and a monoshock at the rear. The fuel tank capacity, too, will be retained to 13.5-litre.

Stopping power is provided by 320 mm Single disc, Four-piston radial fixed calliper at the front and 230 mm Single Disc, Single-piston floating calliper at the rear.
