The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 was photographed testing alongside the QXi sub-4-metre compact SUV in late August. Slated to launch after the company's Maruti Vitara Brezza-rival, the next generation i10 has the makings of a formidable alternative to the Maruti Swift. IAB’s rendering artist Shoeb Kalania imagines the all-new hatchback in a speculative rendering. This preliminary mock-up will be updated as we access more spy media.
The 2019 Hyundai i10 will wear the latest iteration of the cascading grille. It's likely to feature a clamshell hood and a boldly sculpted front bumper. A rising beltline, enlarged tail-lamps, a large DLO and similar-looking B-pillars complete the new looks package. The top-end variant will feature dual-tone precision-cut alloy wheels.
Given where the Hyundai Santro is at in equipment level, expect the third generation i10 to get a full suite of features. A floating type touchscreen infotainment unit, multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control, rear AC vent, and cooled glove box are some of the anticipated features. In compliance with the Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP) safety regulations that come into effect 1 October 2018., the new model will offer higher crash protection. All the variants will feature a driver airbag, ABS, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system and seatbelt warning for front passengers. The higher focus on safety will help the new model avoid the Zero-star NCAP performance of the second generation vehicle.
The next generation Grand i10 will reportedly offer an optional AMT. The Hyundai AH2, which will make its global debut on 23 October, will become the first car from the manufacturer to feature the 'Smart Auto' AMT technology.
