Interestingly, the Yamaha R15 V3.0 MotoGP Edition with Valentino Rossi's racing number (46) was spotted by IAB reader Shreyas Ma, who sent these via social media. In addition to the Movistar & Eneos logos on the India-spec R15 V3.0 MotoGP Edition, the motorcycle features the '46' and 'Monster Energy' decals on the fairing. The other bike gets a small '46' decal along with Abarth, Eneos, Yamalube, Movistar and Blue Core logos on the fairing above the headlamps. The motorcycle also features a 'Bibendum' (Michelin Man) logo on the front mudguard.

We believe the bike was customized by or for a customer.

The Yamaha R15 V3.0 MotoGP Edition is limited to 5,000 units in India, and the company has already received over 2,000 bookings for the motorcycle. Of these, 4,000 units are available in the first phase. Apart from Yamaha' MotoGP Team Livery, the bike stays unchanged.

The Yamaha R15 V3.0 MotoGP Edition uses the same 155 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC, four valve engine with liquid cooling. The fuel-injected motor pumps out 19 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm while generating a peak torque of 14.8 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission. The R15 V3.0 gets first-in-segment features like a slipper clutch and VVA (Variable Valve Actuation).

Unlike the International-spec model, which comes with USD front forks, the India-spec Yamaha R15 V3.0 features conventional telescopic shocks up front and a link-type preload adjustable mono-shock at the back. A 282 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear rotor takes care of braking duties on the R15 V3.0; ABS isn't offered even as an option.
