Honda Cars India has started the 2018 Honda Jazz’s promotional campaign with the release of a teaser. The new model’s launch is tomorrow.
Globally, the Honda Jazz received a slew of exterior enhancements with its mid-life update, such as LED headlights, remodelled bumpers, new front grille and more. Honda decided that it would bring only one of these visual changes and some new features for the Indian refresh.
The Indian-spec 2018 Honda Jazz gets extended LED tail lights as the only visual change. The LED tail lights now continue into the what were previously just reflectors on the tailgate. The company has added new convenience features, though: passive keyless entry, engine start-stop button, cruise control and paddle shifters (CVT-only). There's also a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support on board.
The 2018 Honda Jazz will arrive with the same engines as the outgoing model - the 1.2-litre i-VTEC (90 PS/110 Nm) petrol engine and the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine (100 PS/200 Nm). The petrol engine directs power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The diesel engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
