The Jeep Compass has sold more than 25,000 units in the Indian market since its launch in July last year. The commemorate the sales milestone, FCA India has launched the Jeep Compass Bedrock limited edition priced at INR 17.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The limited edition 'Bedrock' is based on the entry-level Sport trim of the Jeep Compass. Notable features of the Jeep Compass Bedrock are -

The limited edition model is available only with the 2.0 L Multijet II diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Jeep offers the Compass Bedrock only in 4x2 configuration. This engine develops 173 PS at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm at 1,750 - 2,500 rpm. Claimed fuel efficiency stands at 17.1 km/l.
Jeep Compass Bedrock is available in the following exterior colours -
- Vocal White
- Minimal Grey
- Exotica Red
At INR 17.53 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), the Jeep Compass Bedrock costs around INR 98,000 more than the regular Jeep Compass Sport, which is priced at INR 16.55 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Production of the Jeep Compass in India began at FCA & Tata Motors-owned Ranjangaon facility in Maharashtra. The SUV went on sale on July 31 and took around 10 months to clock 25,000 unit sales. The Compass' tally of 25,000 units is FCA's best annual figure over the last 10 years.
The RHD Jeep Compass is exported to markets such as Australia, Japan, the UK, and Ireland and so far, the company has shipped 8,000 units of the SUV overseas.
A report published recently states that FCA will launch the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in India by July. The off-road oriented variant is expected to be available with the diesel automatic powertrain. Currently, there are no diesel automatic variants on offer. The upcoming Compass variant has been spotted on Indian roads on multiple occasions, but there is no official word on its launch in India yet.

During the coming months, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will go on sale in India. Over the next four years or so, the Jeep lineup will be expanded with the launch of a sub-4 m compact SUV and a 3-row SUV in the Indian market. These upcoming SUVs were confirmed by FCA recently. Reports also suggest that the Jeep Renegade, which received a facelift recently, will also be brought in to rival the Hyundai Creta.
