It was earlier reported that the Honda CB125F was patented in the country, speculating its launch. Now BikeAdvice opines that its launch will not happen.

Instead, it would be a product in the ‘affordable 200+ cc segment’, as per the media site. This is considering the alleged lack of the brand’s effort in the 2018 Honda CBR 250R and has not ventured into the affordable 200+ cc segment. Honda had earlier assured the launch of ‘One brand new two-wheeler’ this year. If Honda, as per the report brings out a motorcycle in that segment, it would take the fight to the Bajaj NS 200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, KTM 200 Duke, and the upcoming Hero Xtreme 200R. The rivals of the existing 2018 Honda CBR 250R are the KTM 250 Duke, Yamaha FZ25, and Yamaha Fazer 25.

Honda brought us the Honda X-Blade at the Auto Expo 2018, and that was the only new product. The rest of the portfolio was updated, and the 250R got resurrected. Honda’s coffers are overflowing with the massive sales figures rooting from the Activa range and it will be interesting to see what kind of product they bring in this year, for the enthusiasts.
