The next-gen Suzuki Jimny will be unveiled towards the end of 2018 reports Autocar. Leaked images revealing the exterior and interior of the fourth generation Jimny surfaced last year in August, but it appears the small SUV is 6-8 months away from the official unveil.
The report adds that the new Suzuki Jimny could debut at the 2018 Tokyo Motor Show in October. Images from December 2017 suggest the trial production of the Jimny is already underway.
The exterior of the Suzuki Jimny follows a neo-retro approach. It is characterised by squared-off proportions, circular headlamps and a bumper mounted tail lamp setup. The five-slat grille is quite similar to the current Jimny’s grille. It will get a tailgate-mounted spare wheel as well. The Jimny retains the three-door body style.
Much like the exterior, the interior of the Jimny will also blend utilitarian design cues with modern touches such as the including a touchscreen AVN and automatic climate control to name a few.
