Hero MotoCorp announced that the brand is increasing the prices of its motorcycles and scooters by up to INR 625 with immediate effect.
The Indian two-wheeler major says it has hiked the prices to partially off-set the consistently rising input costs, including the prices of commodities. The exact value of the price increase will vary, depending on the model and the specific market. When it comes to its upcoming portfolio, Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Maestro Edge 125 and the Duet 125 at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The brand is also all set to enter the premium 200cc segment with the Hero Xtreme 200R and the XPulse. The bookings for the former has reportedly commenced; while the latter will enter the market in the festive season, this year.

Hero MotoCorp is also planning to set up experience centres to woo younger enthusiasts. Hero plans to launch the Xtreme 200R and the XPulse within the INR 1 lakh bracket. The brand recently launched a spare parts website for consumers. In FY 17-18, Hero achieved 7 million-unit sales; and inaugurated its 8th manufacturing plant in March, this year.
