The third-gen Skoda Superb arrived in 2015 and will receive a refresh this year. IAB’s automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has created a rendering of the 2018 Skoda Superb to preview the expected exterior changes.

The 2018 Skoda Superb will feature a new radiator grille with rounded lower corners and a reprofiled front bumper among other changes.

Last month, the facelifted Skoda Superb’s radiator grille, lower air intake and front bumper allegedly leaked online. The rendering incorporates the anticipated changes based on them - new radiator grille with rounded lower corners, revised lower air intake, bigger fog lamp housing and reprofiled front bumper. Other exterior changes may include the availability of LED headlamps and new alloy wheels and tweaks to the LED tail lamps and rear bumper.

The current Skoda Superb is sold globally with 1.4L, 1.8L and 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engines and 1.6L and 2.0L TDI turbocharged diesel engines. It is unknown what changes Skoda plans to introduce to the current engines. Next year, however, the company will introduce a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The Skoda Superb plug-in hybrid will employ a 215 bhp (217 PS) powertrain consisting of a 154 bhp (156 PS) 1.4L TSI petrol engine and an 85 kW (115 PS) electric motor. It will have a 13 kWh battery that can provide a pure-electric range of more than 40 miles (64.37 km).
