The latest development was revealed by Dr. Pawan Goenka, MD, Mahindra & Mahindra. In an interview with the business publication recently, Dr. Goenka said:

We have a couple of refreshes happening in the next 2-3 months. And two big ones - S201 and U321 - which is likely to happen between now and next festive season.”

Last year, it was reported that Mahindra plans to launch two versions of the SsangYong X100 platform-based Mahindra S201: 5-seat and 7-seat. The 5-seat version will arrive first. Measuring no longer than four metres in length, this version will compete with the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. Buyers will have 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine options in both the versions.
