BikeWale reports that the Bajaj Avenger 180 will be launched in a few weeks, and as per the website’s source, the bike will cost INR 83,987, ex-showroom, Bengaluru.
The media site reports that Bajaj intends to discontinue the Avenger 150 Street once the 180 cc version hits the country’s showrooms. The Bajaj Avenger 180 will reportedly come in the Street variant and may have different colour schemes and sticker work to set it apart from the 150 cc version. The bike is likely to borrow the instrumentation and seats from the Avenger 150. It was reported last month that Bajaj plans to replace the 150 cc Avenger with a 180 cc variant.

The Bajaj Avenger 180 will employ the Pulsar 180’s mill. In the Pulsar, the 178.6 cc engine with 5-speed transmission makes 17.02 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.22 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Expect the engine in the Avenger to have a cruiser-friendly state of tune. The cruiser will most likely have telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers to handle suspension duties.
When launched, the Bajaj Avenger 180 will have a power advantage over the Suzuki Intruder 150. The Intruder is its only rival in the sub-200 cc cruiser segment. On comparing the leaked price with the existing Avenger 150, the upcoming cruiser is only INR 3,040 more expensive.
