The 2018 Ford EcoSport Signature edition was recently spied completely undisguised again, courtesy Team-BHP. The new spy shots more clearly reveal the styling differences between the special edition and the regular variants of the compact SUV.
Coimbatore-based Jayem Automotive could have a hand in the development of the 2018 Ford EcoSport Signature edition, as the spotter says that the test mule had a printout reading “JAYEM” on its dashboard. The new Ford EcoSport Signature edition features a black decal on the tailgate with ‘Signature’ branding in blue below the ‘EcoSport’ badge, a large rear spoiler similar that of the Ford EcoSport ST-Line and new 17-inch painted machined wheels. According to the spotter, the front grille was completely black.
The 2018 Ford EcoSport Signature edition is in the Titanium or the Titanium+ grade, equipped with most or all the features available in the standard Ford EcoSport. The lack of a TDCi badge on the tailgate means that the test mule is powered by the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT unit from the Dragon engine family. The naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol mill produces 123 PS at 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Transmission choices should include 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. As before, Ford should offer the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine too.
