Under the hood, the Thai-spec 2018 Suzuki Swift will have the K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The new generation Suzuki Swift shares the lightweight and rigid Heartect platform with the Suzuki Baleno. It is 120 kg lighter than the previous generation Suzuki Swift. The 2018 Suzuki Swift measures 3,840 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,500 mm in height. It has a 2,450 mm wheelbase and a 120 mm ground clearance.

The 2018 Suzuki Swift will use the K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET petrol engine that produces 91 PS at 6,000 rpm and 118 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. Suzuki won’t offer a mild-hybrid system with this naturally aspirated engine in Thailand. A 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission will send power to the wheels. The all-new Suzuki Swift will fall under Phase 2 of the Eco-Car programme. This means that it will have a fuel consumption of less than 4.3 litres/100 km (fuel economy higher than 23.3 km/l).
