The all-new Suzuki Jimny Sierra has made its European debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. While two variants are available in Japan, global markets will only receive the Sierra with the 1.5L K15B engine.
The 2018 Suzuki Jimny Sierra is priced from €17,915 (INR 15,19,284.82) in Germany, which is one of the first markets for which the company has revealed the prices. Powering the Jimny Sierra is the K15B 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 102 PS at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The 2018 Suzuki Jimny Sierra is compact in dimensions and measures 3,550 mm in length, 1,730 mm in height and 1,645 mm in width. It has a ground clearance of 210 mm and a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. Standard safety features include dual SRS front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist system (BAS) and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
The Jimny Sierra also comes equipped with electronic stability control (ESP), and an ALLGRIP PRO part-time 4WD system. In its home market, the Jimny Sierra and the Jimny have received instant success with orders already having surpassed sales target of 15,000 units for the first year.
On a side note, the JDM-spec 2018 Suzuki Jimny gets a 660 cc three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 64 PS of power and 103 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter AT.

The fourth generation Suzuki Jimny won’t make it to the Indian shores, as per media reports. Apart from the European markets, Suzuki has confirmed that the Jimny will make its way to markets like South Africa, Australia, Russia and some of the Southeast Asian countries.
