Multiple units of the 2018 Maruti Ertiga have been videotaped on their way to a dealership stockyard in Bhubaneswar. The latest video clip first provides a good look at most of the features that the top-end grade of the 2018 Ertiga will offer.

The 2018 Maruti Ertiga will be available in L, V, Z, and Z+ trims. As highlighted in the video, the top-spec trim will feature -

  • Projector headlamps with halogen bulbs
  • Foglights
  • 15-inch alloy wheels shod with 185/65-spec tires
  • Body-coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicators
  • Chrome-finished door handles
  • Rear washer & wiper
  • Passive keyless entry
  • Engine start/stop button
  • Multi-function steering wheel
  • Smartplay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto support
  • Automatic HVAC
  • Roof-mounted aircon vents
  • Part-leather upholstery
  • 1-litre bottle holder in front and rear door pads
  • Front and rear 12-volt charging socket
  • Chilled cup holders
  • Adjustable handrest for front occupants

In the last section, the video provides a brief look at a lower-spec model, which misses out on the alloy wheels, chrome finished door handles, boot-lid chrome strip, rear washer and wiper, and front fog lamps.

The 2018 Maruti Ertiga will be available in 5 colour options - Pearl Metallic Auburn Red, Metallic Magma Grey, Pearl Metallic Oxford Blue, Pearl Arctic White and Metallic Silky Silver.

Underpinning the 2018 Maruti Ertiga is the Heartect platform, which the new model will share with the Baleno, Swift, Dzire and Ignis. The petrol variant of the new-gen MPV draws juice from a K15B 1.5-litre VVT petrol engine that debuted in India with the 2018 Maruti Ciaz (facelift). It outputs a maximum power of 104.7 PS and a peak torque of 138 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit.

The diesel version will be powered by the outgoing generation's D13A 1.3-litre DDIS200 turbocharged oil-burner that outputs 90 PS and 200 Nm. The engine is likely to be replaced with the all-new E15A 1.5-litre diesel unit by the time BSVI-emission norms come into effect on 1 April 2020.
