Kia Motors has officially unveiled and launched the 2018 Kia K5 (Kia Optima) facelift in Korea. Prices of the Kia K5 range start at KRW 22,700,000 (INR 1,358,270). The redesigned model is expected to hit other global markets in the coming months.
The 2019 Kia Optima features a new grille similar in design to the latest Kia Cadenza (Kia K7)’s “Intaglio” grille with vertically oriented slats. It also gets new headlamp detailing, a remodeled bumper, revised lower air intake and new fog lamps. At the back, the tail lamps get new LED detailing and a revised rear bumper with the reflector units place higher up.
Inside, the dashboard remains nearly identical to the outgoing model. The one obvious change here is the introduction of a new steering wheel design. There is an increased usage of chrome in the cabin as per the official release.
The New K5 is equipped with 'HDA (Highway Driving Assist)' and 'AI based server-type voice recognition technology'. Highway driving assistance is a combination of 'Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC)' and 'Lane Keeping Assist' (LCC) and navigation information, which helps reduce the fatigue.
