Expected to be launched in India in H2 2017.
Hyundai has released a teaser video of the 2018 Hyundai Accent sedan that will basically be a North American-spec next-gen Hyundai Accent. The new generation model will have its world premiere at the 2017 Canadian International Auto Show on February 16, 2017.
The next-gen Hyundai Accent's design has elements inspired from the other latest Hyundai models. Consider the new cascading grille for instance, which was introduced with the 2017 Hyundai i30 and later seen on the 2017 Hyundai i10, or the Hyundai Elantra-inspired three-bar tail lamps. The interior is yet to be revealed, but not much should be different from what was seen in the car's recently unveiled Russian-spec version - the 2017 Hyundai Solaris.
The 2018 Hyundai Accent should measure around 4,405 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width and 1,460 mm in height, and have a wheelbase of 2,600. The all-new Accent's engine and transmission specifications are yet to be known. The current Hyundai Accent gets its power from a standard 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine which produces 137 hp at 6,300 rpm and 123 lb.-ft. (166.77 Nm) of torque at 4,850 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
