The launch of the 2018 Honda Amaze will take place on May 16. Bookings for the second generation model are already underway, and interested customers can place an order by paying INR 21,000 at an authorized Honda dealership across India.
Save for the price, every other detail related to the 2018 Honda Amaze has already been revealed. The Maruti Dzire rival, which made its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo in February, will come with two engine options - 1.2 L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual or a CVT in both cases. The petrol manual and CVT variants will have a power and torque output of 90 PS and 110 Nm respectively. On the other hand, while the diesel engine outputs 100 PS and 200 Nm in case of the manual variant, the diesel CVT's power and torque figures are lower by 20 PS and 40 Nm at 80 PS and 160 Nm.
Honda’s DIGIPAD 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto And Apple CarPlay support, automatic air conditioning, engine start/stop button, request sensor for keyless entry, electrically adjustable and electric folding ORVM, LED position lamps, rear parking sensors with camera, fog lamps, and alloy wheels are some of the notable features that will be offered. Customers will get to choose from four grades - E, S, V, and VX.

As per estimates, the starting price of the 2018 Honda Amaze is likely to hover around INR 5.50-6.00 lakhs (ex-showroom). Fully-loaded versions of the diesel variant could touch around INR 9 lakhs (ex-showroom).
