HCIL has released the first video of the 2018 Honda Amaze showing its main features. The company will launch the new sub-4 metre sedan in India next month.
The second generation Honda Amaze is based on an all-new platform and incorporates design cues from bigger sedans like the tenth-gen Honda Accord and the Honda City. Honda will sell it in two engine models: 1.2L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel. The company will offer a 5-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable transmission on both engines.
The first-gen Honda Amaze range did not include a diesel-CVT combination, but the second-gen Honda Amaze range will. Currently, no other car in our market is available with such a combination. Honda will offer paddle shifters with the CVT option, but only in the petrol engine model. Other key features of the 2018 Honda Amaze include LED DRLs, 15-inch double-spoke alloy wheels, C-shaped tail lamps, Sharkfin antenna, cruise control, Digipad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with navigation Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, engine start-stop button, dual USB ports and dual 12V power outlets.
