As per the reply, it could be possible that the BMW will launch the bike in January 2018.

Rushlane reports that a reader enquired about the G 310 R’s launch date and price. The brand replied that they are in the process of finalizing the launch dates. They also mentioned that the bike will be priced competitively as it is a mass market product. The company will reveal the price of the motorcycle when the launch will take place in few weeks. Despite the competitive positioning of the bike, it is likely that the motorcycle will command a premium pricing to uphold the brand’s snob value.

The BMW G 310 R and the TVS Apache RR 310 share a lot of mechanical underpinnings with each other. TVS manufactures the two motorcycles at its plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. However, the Apache RR 310 is feature-rich, thanks to the inclusion of LED lighting system; multifunction instrument cluster; aerodynamic fairing, and a tuned engine. The RR 310 costs INR 2.05 lakhs, ex-showroom, and varies from state to state.

The Facebook reply has to be taken with a pinch of salt as Dimitris Raptis, BMW Motorrad Asia, China, Pacific and South Africa sales confirmed that the BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS will enter our market in the second half of 2018. The delay is reportedly due to setting up the necessary retail infrastructure in the country. Currently, BMW Motorrad’s dealer network spans to Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru.
