Autocar India has shared new spy pictures of the Hyundai i20 facelift along with details regarding the company's plans to reveal the car. The 2018 Hyundai i20 will be the car's first facelift since its launch in August 2014.
The image of the front section reveals additions like Hyundai's signature 'Cascading' grille design and a revised fog lamp enclosure. The grille and the lower bumper with the slit-like air intake look nearly identical to the new Hyundai Verna. At the back, the number plate section has moved up to the bootlid. The bumper mounted reverse lamp/rear fog lamp appear to have moved up slightly. New stop lamp graphics are visible partially through the camouflage. This particular example appears to be that of a mid-spec trim since it does not get alloy wheels.
Changes to the interior, if any, will be minor. There might be new seat upholstery and update trim colour on offer.
According to the report accompanying the spy shots, the 2018 Hyundai i20 facelift will be revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo on February 7 or 8 to the media, followed by its showcase to the general public 9th onwards.
