The second generation Honda Amaze, known internally by the Honda 2UB codename, is slated to arrive in 2018. Along with a rendering of the 2018 Honda Amaze, Autocar India has shared details regarding the new generation model.
According to the report, Honda will be aiming for a more upmarket feel for the new Amaze. The new car will be wider than the current model and, as a result, cabin space will go up. The report adds that the 2018 Honda Amaze will be 'plusher' than the model it replaces.
Expect Honda to add more features to the compact sedan as well. The Amaze Privilege edition launched in July came equipped with the 7-inch Digipad infotainment system. The feature is likely to be added to the top-end trims of the Amaze. Other additions could include an automatic climate control, LED DRLs, LED stop lamps, and more.
The new Honda Amaze will be based on the same platform as the current car. The exterior design will be new and more in line with newer Honda products like the 2018 Accord and Odyssey. It will have a sharper fascia, which could also draw inspiration from the 2017 Honda City.
