The 2018 Ford EcoSport has started reaching dealership yards in India, images posted by Team-BHP forum member deetjohn have revealed. Ford took pre-orders of 123 units of the new SUV yesterday on Amazon.in.
The 2018 Ford EcoSport features a thoroughly revamped front fascia and a refreshed interior. At the front, the facelifted EcoSport features a hexagonal upper grille flanked by larger, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, restyled bumper and triangular fog lamps. Inside, the mid-cycle refresh to the small SUV brings a grab bar on the dashboard, completely new instrument cluster, steering wheel and centre console and 8-inch touchscreen SYNC 3 infotainment system with mobile navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Ford has discontinued the 1.0-litre EcoBoost three-cylinder and 1.5-litre TiVCT 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines. In their place, is a new 1.5-litre TiVCT three-cylinder petrol engine. The naturally aspirated engine produces 123 PS at 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a new 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine (100 PS/205 Nm) continues as is. It sends power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The new EcoSport’s fuel economy rating is 17 km/l (petrol MT), 14.8 km/l (petrol AT)/23 km/l (diesel MT).

Ford will launch the 2018 Ford EcoSport in India on 9 November. The company will sell the new Ford EcoSport in Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+ grades.
