Volkswagen UK has started accepting orders for the new sixth-generation VW Polo. Prices start from £13,855 OTR with seven variants to choose from. Prices of only the 1.0 L MPI and TSI models have been revealed so far.
The seven trims options available include S, SE, Beats, SEL, R-Line, GTI, and GTI+ trims. The entry-level VW Polo 1 L S is priced at £13,855 OTR followed by the SE trim priced from £14,630. The VW Polo 1 L TSI SE starts at £15,930. The Beats variants start at £15,680 and are available with 1.0 L MPI and 1.0 L TSI engines.
Even the most basic S trim of the VW Polo gets an 8-inch infotainment screen with DAB radio, air conditioning, autonomous emergency braking, and automatic headlamps with DRLs. The SE trim adds 15-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, alarm system, and Car-Net app connectivity. 16-inch alloys, front fog lights with cornering function, Beats decals, red velvet dashboard finish along with a 300-watt audio setup is a part of the Beats package.
Prices of the SEL, R-Line, GTI, and GTI+ variants have not been revealed yet. Volkswagen UK will also offer the Polo with a 1.6 L TDI diesel in two states of tune putting out 79 bhp and 94 bhp. A 1.5 L TSI with 148 bhp on tap will be available in the R-Line spec.
The 2017 VW Polo GTI draws power from a 2.0 L TSI with a power output of 197 bhp. The company will offer the GTI and GTI+ variants with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG.

Customers can choose from 12 exterior colour options. They can also opt for Reef Blue, Energetic Orange and Silver Silk dash pads for SE and SEL cars, depending on their external colour. As mentioned earlier, the Beats trim gets Red Velvet dash pads as standard. GTI and GTI+ variants get a Deep Iron dash pad. Customization options also include Black, Black roof and Style packs.
