Sahyadri Moto, a Mumbai-based motorcycle custom shop has modified the Hero Karizma R to make it more touring-friendly.
The Hero Karizma R gets a custom luggage system, which includes a frame to hold a top pannier, and saddle stays on the sides. There’s a custom engine guard with frame sliders, and the quarter fairing gets a crash guard as well. The custom house has mounted two 18W LED floodlights on the lower crash guard, and two 10W LED spotlights on the upper crash guard. The latter uses high-beam/ pass beam switch for activation. These lights supplement the 35W stock halogen headlight. The bike also features a transparent windshield for more comfortable touring. However, Sahyadri will upgrade it to a smoked unit.
The motorcycle is stock other than the modifications above. However, the second stage of modification will include ground clearance raising kit, hard panniers, and decals. The Hero Karizma R employs a 223cc single cylinder OHC engine that makes 17 bhp and 18.35 Nm. It pairs with a 5-speed gearbox. The refined powerplant and adequate performance make the Karizma R one of the most sought-after motorcycles in India.
