In line with Honda's "Born to Race" theme for the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has the Honda Brio RS and Honda Mobilio RS on display.
Honda Brio RS
The RS variant of the Brio showcased features a CVT mated to the 1.2 L petrol engine. As compared to the standard Honda Brio Satya, the RS trim gets new headlamps with projector units and LED DRLs, 'RS' lettering on the front grille, dual tone alloys and body colour trim on the rear glass hatch. The cabin of the Honda Brio RS is all black, unlike the Brio Satya's black-beige combination. The Brio RS CVT on display at the auto show is priced at IDR 178,000,000 (INR 854,629)
Honda Mobilio RS
Sharing the floor with the Brio RS is the Mobilio RS in its 2017 form that was launched in Indonesia in January this year. The RS trim added sportier front and rear bumpers, 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels, side under spoiler and tail gate spoiler and electrically retractable side mirrors. Also, the cabin has an all-black finish, and the seat upholstery gets contrast orange stitching. A 1.5 L i-VTEC petrol powers the Mobilio range, which comes with a choice of 5-speed manual and CVT gearboxes. Honda Mobilio RS is priced at IDR 233,000,000 (INR 1,118,778) for the manual and IDR 243,500,000 (INR 1,169,295) for the automatic.
The facelifted Mobilio never made it to India as demand for the Mobilio was so poor that not a single unit of the MPV was produced by Honda in over a year before the company pulled the plug in early 2017.
