MSIL sold 4,830 units of the Maruti Ignis in January - Report

Bookings have surpassed 10,000 units.

Just days after its launch in January 2017, the Maruti Ignis' bookings had surpassed 10,000 units in India. According to a report from Economic Times, Maruti Suzuki delivered 4,830 units of the Ignis within 18 days of sales.

The Maruti Ignis is offered with a 61 kW (81.77 hp) 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine and a 55.2 kW (77.95 hp) 1.25-litre diesel engine.

The Maruti Ignis measures 3,700 mm in length, 1,690 mm in width and 1,595 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,435 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm. It's offered with the 1.2-litre VVT four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 61 kW (81.77 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm and the 1.25-litre DDIS four-cylinder diesel that develops 55.2 kW (77.95 hp) at 4,000 and 190 Nm at 2,000 rpm. Both engines can be specified with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission.

The Maruti Ignis is offered in five trim levels: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. LED projector headlamps, daytime running lights, 15-inch black alloy wheels, puddle lamps, two-tone dashboard, engine push-start button, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, power adjustable and folding door mirrors, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, reversing camera and rear parking sensors are the equipment highlights of the car. Dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat anchorages are standard.

The Maruti Ignis is priced from INR 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is sold through 200 NEXA premium dealerships located across 121 locations nationwide. It can be personalised with a variety of different styling and utility optional accessories, through the NEXA accessories packages.
