International debut expected to take place at 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
According to Japanese reports, Suzuki will unveil the next generation 2017 Suzuki Swift (2017 Maruti Swift) in Japan on December 27, ahead of its world debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The new Swift was earlier speculated to premiere in Japan in May, after its Geneva debut, but reports believe that Suzuki set the launch date in this December due to competition, specifically the Toyota Vitz. Toyota will introduce a facelift for the Vitz on January 12 in Japan, so Suzuki hopes to steal its thunder with the all new Swift.
A brochure of the model has leaked online, revealing most of the final details including prices. Regular variants of the new Swift are priced between 1,343,520 yen – 1,875,960 yen (INR 7.76 Lakhs – INR 10.84 Lakhs), while the RS variants cost between 1,594,080 yen – 1,800,360 yen (INR 9.21 Lakhs – INR 10.40 Lakhs).

As for the Indian market, we expect Maruti to fast-track the launch of the next generation Maruti Swift. It is reported to arrive in the festive season of 2017, while its sub-4m sibling - the Swift Dzire - will, interestingly, launch in May 2017 - much before the Swift hatchback.
