Maruti Suzuki offers the 2017 Maruti Dzire with the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines from the outgoing model. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 84.3 PS and 115 Nm of torque and the 1.3-litre diesel engine develops 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual transmission and 5-speed automated manual transmission. The vehicle continues to miss out on the mild-hybrid tech
The current model has a fuel economy rating of 20.85 km/l (petrol)/26.59 km/l (diesel). The significant weight reduction should help Maruti increase the car's mileage by at least 5%.
