Honda revealed the tenth-gen Honda Civic Hatchback for the U.S. and Canada this week and announced that the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will go on sale in these markets towards the end of this year. Here's a pictorial comparison between the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback and the 2015 Honda Civic Hatchback.
The ninth-gen Honda Civic Hatchback wasn't a leap ahead from the eighth-gen Honda Civic Hatchback when it came to design, however the tenth-gen Honda Civic Hatchback addresses this rather well. Like the exterior, the interior too will be drastically redesigned, and be in-line with the sedan and coupe versions.
The all-new Honda Civic Hatchback is based on the same newly developed platform as the new generation Honda Civic Sedan and new generation Honda Civic Coupe. This platform will also underpin the successors of the Honda CR-V and Honda Accord.
In the U.S. and Canada, the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will be powered by the 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. It has been tuned to produce 174 hp/180 hp and 162 lb.-ft. (219.64 Nm) of torque. Along with the 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO petrol, engine options in Europe will include 1.0-litre VTEC TURBO petrol and 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel as well.
