Gets improved braking performance too.
Ahead of its launch today, the Maruti Alto 800 facelift is seen in an all-new Green color, which is one of two all-new colors the company will introduce. The colors are called Mojito Green and Cerulean Blue.
The Alto 800 facelift, as reported earlier, gets all-new headlight clusters, a new, slimmer grille and a new front bumper with provision for foglight fitment. Maruti will not offer foglights even on the top-end VXi grade. There are no further changes to the exterior of the entry-level small car.
Inside, Maruti has given the Alto 800 facelift a darker shade of grey for the door trims and the seat fabrics get new design elements too. Additionally, all variants will now get a child lock on the rear door, whereas remote keyless entry will be offered on the top-end VXi grade.
The Maruti Alto 800 facelift will continue to be powered by the 0.8-liter three-cylinder engine which will be available in CNG and petrol avatars. However, the petrol variant will return 9 percent better fuel efficiency of 24.77 km/l as against the outgoing model's 22.74 km/l, while the CNG version will return 33.44 km/kg as against 30.46 km/kg.

On the safety front, the Alto 800 facelift will continue offering a driver airbag on all variants as an optional extra. However, engineers have fitted a 6.5-inch brake booster for improved braking performance. The car will still be devoid of ABS though.
