Suzuki Motor Corporation has showcased the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. The car world premiered at the 2013 edition of the Swiss show. The variant on display is the 1.6-liter diesel with an all-wheel drive system that is priced in Switzerland at CHF 33,490 (INR 22.70 lakhs).
Internationally, the Suzuki S-Cross is powered by a selection of 1.6-liter petrol and diesel motors. In the Indian market, the S-Cross gets only a diesel mill with 1.3-, and 1.6-liter displacement capacity, in 2WD. The 1.3-liter known as the DDiS 200 generates 89 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. The 1.6-liter is dubbed DDiS 320 and manages figures of 118 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.
The smaller capacity engine is mated to a 5-speed manual whereas the bigger engine gets coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission.
In the European specification, the SX4 S-Cross comes with more kit. In UK all S-Cross models have seven airbags, ESP and Tyre Pressure Monitoring, Daytime Running Lights (DRL), alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limiter, HVAC, heated mirrors, black skid plates and black wheel arch extensions.
Top-end models get satellite navigation with DAB digital radio, polished 17-inch alloys, Dual Zone automatic air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, rear privacy glass, silver roof rails and silver skid plates, reverse parking camera and rear parking sensors.
