Gets a Halogen headlamp.
The latest spyshots of the TVS Apache 200, courtesy of Indonesian publication Otomotifnet, expose the model's halogen headlamp, LED DRLs, fuel tank cap and the fully-digital instrument console. The motorcycle is scheduled for world premiere and launch in India on January 20. The bike will then be presented at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida in February.
Expected to be priced close to INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom), the Apache 200 will be the company's flagship two wheeler that will be positioned above the TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS. It will compete with the likes of the KTM Duke, Bajaj Pulsar AS200, upcoming Pulsar 200 NS FI and the Hero Karizma.
The headlamp assembly is reminiscent of the existing Apache variants, suggesting that the new model is likely to be named the Apache 200 and not after the TVS Draken X21 concept which is believed to have lent styling cues.

The Apache 200 borrows parts and features from both sources, that is the existing Apaches and the Draken. The powertrain however is unique to the new model, which is believed to be a single-cylinder 200 cc air-cooled engine with SOHC and oil-cooler, mated likely to a five-speed transmission. It is expected to generate around 28 PS of peak power and 20 Nm of torque.
