Set to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year.
Indian Autos Blog reader, 'superninetyfive', snapped the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C Class Coupe near the company's headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. Based on the new C Class which was launched last year, the Coupe version will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September, and will also come in a sportier AMG guise.
The C Class Coupe will be the third bodystyle on the new C Class (sedan and estate being the first two), and according to Mercedes's designer, Gorden Wagener, it will be 'sleeker' looking than the S Class Coupe.
The new C Coupe would get a sharply raked windscreen, and the design post the A-Pillar will be all-new in comparison to the sedan. The front fascia too is expected to sport minor tweaks to better differentiate it from its other siblings.
The C Class Coupe's engine options will mirror that of the standard C Class, which is powered by four- and six-cylinder engines. Mercedes will also introduce the C Coupe with the newly-developed 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in an AMG guise in two flavors - standard and AMG S - the latter packing a little over 500 hp.

The Coupe bodystyle might not contribute significant volumes in India, but is seen as a niche and exclusive offering nevertheless. That being said, the chances of the new C Class Coupe launching in India are very slim.
