The tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic has arrived in Asia. Honda has launched the all-new Civic in Thailand and made it the first market outside North America to receive the new generation model. The 2016 Honda Civic is the first model to be produced at the company's new plant in Rojana Industrial Park, Prachinburi where engine production commenced last month.
The 2016 Honda Civic is offered with two engines in Thailand: a 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine producing 141 hp and 174 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO engine developed under Earth Dreams Technology, good for 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Both engines are produced at the Prachinburi plant and are mated to a continuously variable transmission which is also developed under the Earth Dreams Technology.

The 2016 Honda Civic is available in four grades in Thailand: E and EL in the 1.8-litre engine model and TURBO and TURBO RS engine in the 1.5-litre engine model. Five exterior colours are available to choose from: White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Cosmic Blue Metallic.
Noteworthy features include Engine Remote Start, electric parking brake, 7-inch Display Audio Touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility and Honda LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system. Modulo Honda Custom Parts will be available optionally for a sportier appeal.
