Crossover version of Citroen C3 Picasso.
Citroen has unveiled a few images of the 2016 Citroen Aircross for the Brazilian market, which has undergone a facelift up front. Production of the new Aircross has commenced at the PSA factory in Porto Real (RJ) this month.
The 2016 Aircross features a facelifted front-end that looks much cleaner than the model it replaces. Drawing influence from the Citroen C4 Cactus, it gets new projector headlamps connected by a dual slat chrome grille, separate LED DRLs, repositioned fog lamps, black plastic elements and a silver skid plate.
It retains the quirky windshield and roof rail designs, while the side profile has revised Aircross graphics. Citroen hasn't yet revealed the rear-end of the MPV crossover, but it's expected to feature minimal changes over the outgoing model, with changes only to the plastic components.
Under the hood, it retains the engine powering the older model, which is a 1.6-liter four cylinder engine that belts out at 122 hp at 5,800 rpm and 16.4 kgm with ethanol, and 115 hp at 6,000 rpm and 15.5 kgm with gasoline. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
