Inherits the design philosophy of the MT-series, mainly the MT-09 and MT-07.
The Yamaha M-Slaz has been launched in Thailand at THB 89,500 (1.66 lakhs). It is pricier than the Yamaha R15 Version 2.0. Until January 31, the company offers a free back pack 'MLB-SLAM' worth THB 5,000 (INR 9,295) with the bike.
The M-Slaz is powered by the same engine seen aboard the Yamaha R15. It is a 149.8 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine with SOHC and 4 valves. The company hasn't revealed the output numbers yet; the motor is expected to produce around 17 PS at 8,000 and 15 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The highlights of the Yamaha M-Slaz include an LED head lamp, an MT ignition switch instead of a push start button (similar to the one in the Yamaha MT09 and MT07), a full-negative LCD instrument console display with an LED backlight, a 37 mm inverted telescopic fork, a multi-link rear suspension with monoshock, disc brakes on both wheels (without ABS), 110/70-17 M/C 54s tyre upfront and 130/70-17 M/C 62s tyre at the rear, and a 10.2-liter fuel tank capacity.
