Could launch in India as a niche offering.
Audi has announced the launch of the 2015 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro (facelift) at the 2015 Chengdu Motor Show today. It is priced at 654,800 yuan (INR 68.4 Lakhs) and available in a single trim level only.
Based on the 2015 Audi A6 Avant, the 2015 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro is a pseudo crossover with features like higher ground clearance, extra body cladding, Matrix LED headlamps and an adaptive air suspension as standard. It measures 4,938 mm long, 1,898 mm wide, 1,474 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,905 mm.
Other features fitted as standard in the Audi A6 Allroad Quattro include a night vision system, head-up display, lane keeping and lane change assist, power-operated bootlid, panoramic sunroof, shift paddles on the steering wheel, and massage seats.
Power is sourced from a 3.0-liter TFSI engine producing 328 hp and 440 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 7-speed S-Tronic dual clutch gearbox and Quattro AWD system, which enables the A6 Allroad to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
Audi India has expressed interest in introducing more Avants (estate) in India, following the launch of the Audi RS6 Avant. Reports suggest that the A6 Allroad Quattro will be next in the pipeline, and could be sold as a niche product in India.
