Indian Autos Blog's in-house artist, Shoeb, is at it again. Based on spyshots revealing the headlight and a portion of the grille of the new A4, Shoeb presents the full front fascia of Audi's forthcoming BMW 3 Series rival.
The design of the headlight breaks tradition for Audi with an inverted L-shape. Audi is expected to offer its high-end Matrix LED lighting technology, though even the standard model would come fitted with LED headlights.
Audi's new iteration of the 'Bulgarian Beard' called the Singleframe grille makes its presence on the A4, lending the car a wide and squat stance. The bonnet appears a bit plain thanks to its mostly flat surface, but gets a couple of power bulges nevertheless.
Based on the MLB Evo platform, the 2016 A4 will be revealed prior to the Frankfurt Motor Show, which will take place in the second week of September. Engineers are reported to have made the new A4 lighter by 100 kg over the current model. The interior, revealed in a spyshot, borrows parts from the more expensive Q7, and is expected to be packed with equipment like a touch-controlled MMI system, Audi's Virtual Cockpit and a high-end music system.

Upon launch, Audi will offer nearly 13 engine options for the European market, spanning petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains. For the Indian market, the new A4 is anticipated to launch in the first half of 2016, with 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter petrol and diesel units.
